HR911 is dead

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-911Without being reintroduced, HR911 will not be voted on. That's how politicians avoid bad votes from following them around. They send it to a committee who kills it by refusing to talk about it.

To the cowards who let it die: Shame on you.

The people at CAFETY explained that the awareness that it brought to the subject was a huge win, and for that I'm happy. I hope I've been effective at getting the message out there.

The bill asked that felons not treat kids with mental illnesses and that they be treated with the same respect as any other hospital patient. I don't see why there would be any debate about that.. Obviously money is greater than I ever believed. I don't have any, so I wouldn't know.

If it's awareness they want, it's awareness they get :)

I'm OCD, yanno?

  1. I'd like to know who was behind the killing, and expose them, the Bastids. It's always a "follow the money" deal behind the scenes. Always.

  2. Austan, thanks you make a very good point. We hope to get HR 911 passed so the accountability will be in place. Of course congress doesn't do accountability to well.
